Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival at Delhi
Upon your arrival at Delhi Airport, you will be welcomed by our representative and he will take you to the hotel. At the hotel you will freshen up and get ready for city tour. In the afternoon you will proceed towards the Rashtrapati Bhawan, India Gate, Laxminarayan Temple, Qutab Minar and the lotus-shaped Baha’i Temple. After having dinner you will return to the hotel for night stay.
Day 02: Delhi – Rishikesh
In the morning you will be driven to Rishikesh; after breakfast at the hotel you start the tour of the holy place. Rishikesh is the start-up point for holy pilgrimage to Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath. The sightseeing tour includes Bharatmata Mandir; Nilkanth Mahadev; Raghunath Mandir and Triveni Ghat. Enjoy the tea at the ghats of the Ganges and feel the breeze in the evening. Later return to the hotel for night stay.
Day 03: Rishikesh – Hardwar – Rishikesh
On the third day of your trip you will make a day excursion to Hardwar. Your tour will begin with a visit to the holy ghat – Har-Ki-Pauri. The ghat is said to have been constructed by King Vikramaditya in the memory of his brother Bhartrihari. The other attractions at Hardwar include the temple of Chandi Devi at the top of the Neel Parvat. In the evening you will witness the “AARTI” at Har-Ki-Pauri. It is indeed a great sight to watch! Later return to Rishikesh hotel for night stay.
Day 04: Rishikesh – Chandigarh
In the morning you will be driven to Chandigarh after your breakfast. Upon your arrival in the beautiful city you will check-in at the hotel and relax. Chandigarh is one of the few planned cities of India; the map of the city was designed by Le Corbusier; a French architecture.
Day 05: Chandigarh
Chandigarh has numerous well maintained gardens, which are lush green and also have vibrant and colorful flowers. After having a traditional Punjabi breakfast you will proceed towards the Rock Garden, created by Nek Chand. The garden has been made out of waste materials collected from homes and industries. Next to Rose Garden is Sukhna Lake – a man made lake, it is one of the major tourist attractions of Chandigarh. Later, you will visit the Rose Garden, which has sixteen hundred varieties of roses followed by a visit to the Museum & Art Gallery that houses a good collection of sculptures and paintings of ancient and modern times.
Day 06: Chandigarh – Shimla
Early in the morning you will be driven to Shimla, the ‘Summer Retreat of the British. On your way you will witness beautiful green mountains, waterfalls etc. Upon your arrival at Shimla you will check-in at the hotel and spend some time at leisure. The other alternative could be to visit the market place or enjoy scenic beauty of Shimla. Return to the hotel for night stay.
Day 07: Shimla
After having breakfast at the hotel you will head towards the morning sightseeing tour of Shimla. In the tour you will visit the The Mall road, Jakhoo Hill, the highest point in Shimla which offers a panoramic view of the city, Glen forest, Chadwick Falls and Prospect Hill. Return to the hotel for night stay.
Day 08: Shimla – Manali
After breakfast, you will leave Shimla for Manali. En route you will cross another beautiful place- Kufri. Upon arrival at Manali, you will check-in at the hotel, freshen up and relax for some time. If you are a nature lover you can enjoy the natural beauty of place
Day 09: Manali
In the morning you will head towards the famous Hadimba Devi Temple also known as Hidimba Temple. It is an ancient cave temple built in the honor of Hidimba Devi. You will also visit the picturesque Tibetan Monastery, Arjun Gufa, Jagatsukh, Nehru Kund, Vashist hot water springs and temples and Rehalla Falls. At night you will return back to the hotel for night stay.
Day 10: Manali – Dharamshala
After your breakfast, you will be driven to Dharamshala. En route Dharamshala, you will view the beautiful Himalayas. You will make a few stopovers for tea and snacks. Upon arrival at Dharamshala, you will check in at the hotel and relax.
Day 11: Dharamshala
The morning sightseeing tour will include various monasteries and McLeod Ganj (the residence of the Dalai Lama). Later you will visit the stone church called St. John’s. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 12: Dharamshala – Dalhousie
Early in the morning you will be driven to Dalhousie, another beautiful hill station in the Himalayas. On your arrival at Dalhousie, you will check-in at the hotel and spend rest of the day relaxing. Spend night at the hotel.
Day 13: Dalhousie
After having breakfast you will leave your hotel for pursuing independent activities. You can visit Satdhara, Dainkund, Chamba, Punjpulla, Kalatope, Chamera Lake, Pir Panjal Range and most important “mini Switzerland” – Khajjiar. Evening can be spent at the local market and at night return to the hotel for stay.
Day 14: Dalhousie – Amritsar
In the morning, you will be driven to Amritsar. Upon arrival, you will check in at the hotel and spend the night in relaxation.
Day 15: Amritsar – Delhi
In the morning you will go for the city tour of Amritsar. The tour will begin with Golden Temple, one of the holiest Sikh shrines. Next you will visit the Durgiana Mandir, Jallianwala Bagh memorial (built in the memory of unarmed victims massacred by the British on 13th April 1919). Later, you will be driven to the Railway Station to board a train for Delhi. Upon your arrival at Delhi you will be greeted by our representative, who will accompany you to the hotel. Spend night at the hotel.
Day 16: Delhi Departure
Our representative will drop you at the Delhi Airport to board a flight for your onward journey.
