  • Itinerary

    Day 1: Arrive Bangalore

    Get welcomed by our representative at the Bangalore Airport/Railway Station. Get transferred to your hotel and check in. Freshen up and take a little rest. Thereafter, you may use the remaining hours of the day to explore the nearby attractions. Dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel.

    Day 2: Bangalore – Mysore

    Early morning, post breakfast, excursion to various attractions of the ‘The Garden City’. Visit Vidhan Sabha. The architecture of the building is influenced by the Neo Dravidian style. Later, visit the Bangalore Palace, built in the year 1887. The Tudor style of architecture is used in the construction of the palace. You may also visit the palace and the fort of Tipu Sultan, the architecture reflecting the ethnic Mughal era. Post lunch, drive to Mysore. Reach your hotel, check in and freshen up. Thereafter, if time permits, you may visit the nearby attractions or take gradual walks down the streets. Dinner and an overnight stay at your hotel.

    Day 3: Mysore

    This day is dedicated to sightseeing in Mysore. Visit Mysore Palace, built in the year 1912. The structure of the palace is influenced by the Indo Saracenic style of architecture. Here, the Golden Royal Elephant Throne, the Durbar Hall, the Kalyana Mandap and the Gallery contribute to the main elements of the palace. The grandeur of the palace is simply amazing. Later in the evening, you may explore the colorful local markets of Mysore. Dinner and an overnight stay at your hotel.

    Day 4: Mysore – Ooty

    In the morning, post breakfast, get ready to visit Ooty. On the way, enjoy some of the amazing sights. Reach your hotel and check in. Later, you may use the remaining hours of the day for exploring the attractions of the town. You may take leisure walks down the streets, enjoy scrumptious cuisines, communicate with the locals, etc. Return to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

    Day 5: Ooty – Coimbatore (approx 88 Km / 3 Hrs) Coimbatore – Cochin

    Early morning, post breakfast, drive to Coimbatore Airport to the flight for Cochin. On your arrival at the Cochin Airport, get assisted and transferred to your hotel. Check in, freshen up and take a little rest. Later in the evening, enjoy watching the Kathakali folk dance show performed by the local artists. Dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel.

    Day 6: Cochin

    This day is dedicated to sightseeing in Cochin. Post breakfast, get ready to visit the Jewish Synagogue. The oldest synagogue, built in the year 1568, is adorned with beautiful hand painted Chinese tiles in blue & white. Thereafter, visit St. Francis Church, which was originally built out of wood in the year 1503. This church is famous as the oldest European church in India. Later, you may also visit the Dutch Palace. Here, as you climb its stone steps you enter a different world of palanquins, and rich murals. You may also take pleasure in gradual walks down the cobbled streets. Return to your hotel for dinner and halt for an overnight stay.

    Day 7: Cochin – Periyar

    In the morning, drive to Periyar, after breakfast. Get transferred to your hotel in Periyar, check in, and freshen up. After taking a little rest, in the evening, you may enjoy boat ride at Lake. Later, you may use the remaining hours communicating with the locals, taking gradual walks down the streets, etc. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

    Day 8: Periyar – Kumarakom

    After breakfast, morning is free to be spent at leisure. You may indulge in Jungle activities. Later, drive to Kumarakom. On your arrival at Kumarakom, reach your hotel, check in, and take a little rest. Later, in the afternoon, you may enjoy Boat ride at the Kumarakom Lake. The remaining day is free to be spent at leisure. You may take gradual walks near the lake, talk to the locals, etc. Return to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

    Day 9: Kumarakom – Kovalam

    Post breakfast, drive to Kovalam. On your arrival, check in to your hotel, freshen up and take a little rest. The remaining hours of the day are free to be spent at leisure. You may enjoy gradual walks down the streets, communicate with the locals, enjoy street food, etc. Later, return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

    Day 10: Kovalam

    This day is free to be spent at leisure on the beach. Early in the morning, you may enjoy sunbath on the beach. Later, you may take pleasure in various sports activities. You may also take gradual walks on the shore and enjoy food at the small joints. Later in the evening, you may also explore the local markets at the beach and buy commodities as souvenirs. Dinner and an overnight stay at your hotel.

    Day 11: Kovalam – Madurai (By surface 264 Km / 6 Hrs drive Approx)

    Early morning, post breakfast, drive to Madurai. On your arrival, get transferred and check in to your hotel. After taking a little rest visit Meenakshi Temple, designed by Vishwanatha Nayak in the year 1560 and later built during the reign of Tirumalai Nayak. This 2000 year old temple is nestled in the heart of the old town. The construction of the temple is influenced by the Dravidian style of architecture. Thereafter, return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

    Day 12: Madurai – Thanjavur

    Drive to Thanjavur in the morning, after breakfast. On your arrival, reach your hotel, check in and take a little rest. Later in the afternoon, get ready for sightseeing in Thanjavur. Visit Brihadeshwara Temple & Fort, built during the 10th century by the great Chola king Rajaraja Chola I. The temple and fort exhibit the specimen of the stupendous Chola style of architecture. The dome on the top of the 63 meters is said to be constructed from a single piece of granite that approximately weights 81 tons. The Thanjavur Palace & Museum, adjacent to the temple is masonry built by the Nayakas and Maratha around 1550. Return to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

    Day 13: Thanjavur – Pondicherry

    In the morning, after breakfast, drive to Pondicherry. En route, visit Chidambaram, the 9th century Shiva Temple. Here, you may find Shiva Nataraja or the Dancing Shiva stands in his cosmic dance pose. The temple also has almost 108 sculptured illustrations of Bharat Natya Shastra, Kumbakonam. Reaching Pondicherry, check in and take a little rest. You may use the remaining hours of the day taking gradual walks down the streets and exploring the nearby attractions. Dinner and an overnight stay at your hotel.

    Day 14: Pondicherry – Chennai

    Morning is to be dedicated to sightseeing in Pondicherry. Visit Auroville and Sri Aurobindo Ashram. Explore the archaeological excavations and French period furniture. Thereafter, drive to Chennai. After reaching Chennai, check in, freshen up and take a little rest. You may spend the remaining hours of the day exploring the nearby attractions. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

    Day 15: Chennai

    This day is decided for sightseeing in Chennai. In the morning, after breakfast, get ready for an excursion to Kanchipuram Temple and Mahishasurmardini caves in Mahabalipuram. The temples at Kanchi are praised for beautiful temples with unique architectural beauty that bear eloquent testimony to its magnificent Dravidian heritage. Later return to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

    Day 16: Chennai – Departure

    In the morning, get on-time assistance and transferred to the Chennai Airport/Railway Station to board the flight/train towards the onward journey.
